A little history
Our office, then known as Implant and General Dentistry of Tampa Bay (IGD), was originally founded by Dr. Hilt Tatum, the acknowledged pioneer and world expert in the field of dental implantology. The office was under his auspices in partnership with Dr. Richard Borgner, Dr. H. Sam Tadros and Dr. Tatum's son, Dr. Oscar Hilt Tatum, III.
After many years of fine service, Dr. Tatum, Dr. Borgner, and Dr. Tatum, III retired. Dr. Hilt Tatum now teaches and lectures in London, England on the art and science of implants.
Dr. Tadros and his associates continued the innovative techniques developed by Dr. Tatum in the field of implant and restorative dentistry during their partnership at Implant and General Dentistry of Tampa Bay. Dr. Tadros expanded the cosmetic and restorative dental services to include related cosmetic procedures such as sinus lifts, bone grafts, and meso therapy. Response to these procedures was immediate and positive. Recognizing patients' growing medical aesthetic needs and busy lifestyles, Dr. Tadros decided to offer something completely unique: the only medically integrated, multi-disciplinary health and cosmetic care
team in the Tampa Bay area. Where the most advanced general and restorative dentistry, cosmetic rejuvenation, and weight loss programs performed under the supervision and discreet care of medically trained and certified specialists could be found, conveniently offered together in one comfortable, graceful, relaxing, totally unique medical suite.

Dr Hilt Tatum is one of the world's leading and acknowledged Dental Implant and Oral Reconstructive Experts. As founder of Implant and General Dentistry of Tampa Bay, Dr Tatum invented the sinus graft procedure and the unique "D fin" type implants. He is responsible for major advances in techniques such as Ramus Frame therapy, bone manipulation, progressive loading and flapless implant surgery.
